Read the game, not just the price.
Scout Crew LLC is a Wisconsin company building a game-day scouting desk. It started from a simple frustration: every product that priced a game buried the game itself. The read came last, behind a wall of odds. So we flipped the order.
The problem
Market tools are good at telling you what something costs and bad at telling you what is happening. You would find a number before you found out who was pitching, whether the starting five was confirmed, or which of the two ways this game usually goes was in play tonight.
The flip
Scout Crew leads with the brief and keeps the market underneath it. The price is context for the read, not a substitute for it — and the two are visually separated everywhere in the product so you never mistake one for the other.
Four principles, applied everywhere.
Show, don't hype
No exclamation marks on a coin flip. A 2-of-5 edge is written as a 2-of-5 edge, and "basically a coin flip" is a complete and acceptable answer.
Plain over jargon
"Where the value moved," not "positive expected-value vector." Every metric in the app has a plain-English definition one tap away.
You're the boss
The crew advises; you make the call, on the venue, in your own account. There is no autonomous order placement anywhere in the product.
Quietly responsible
Limits, cool-offs and the real odds are easy to find and never preachy. 18+, US only, and help is one line away in every footer.
Honest data
No screen may state a fact the app does not have. An unplayed game has no score. A missing lineup says "not posted yet." A failed fetch says it failed instead of rendering an empty slate as "no games today." Placeholder art reads as waiting, never as data. This applies to what the app tells you about itself, too.
The War Table.
A shield with a table inside it and the crew seated around the rim — four crew and a gold lead. It is a scouting room, not a trophy: the point of the mark is that somebody did the homework before you sat down.
- Green is the crew. It carries the mark, positive movement, and CONSIDER.
- Gold is the pick. One gold family across the whole system — the lead figure, the best price, the primary action.
- Geist and Geist Mono. Every number is mono and tabular, so a column of prices does not jitter as it ticks.
